Axminster Town Under 18s 1, Charmouth 5

In only their second game Axminster Town's new;-formed Under 18s battled hard against a tough Charmouth men's team.

The youngsters' defence held strong in the first half, denying a surge of Charmouth attacks.

Half way through the second half Charmouth took the lead with an unfortunate own goal. This was followed with a good finish from Jack Farrant to make it 2-0.

Into the second half new player Jake Davey impressed in the centre of midfield and drove the team forward, creating a few chances, but again it was Charmouth who produced the final product and make it 3-0.

The Tigers grabbed a consolation goal through Owen Dibling who rounding the keeper to slot home after a good through ball from Owen Ford.

Charmouth ran out worthy winners and the game ended 5-1, but not without a battle. For the Under 18s, a superb performance came from new keeper Zac Vacher, captain Jonny Glover and man-of-the match Finn Graysmark.
