The weather was wet and windy and the Otters caught the Tigers cold.

After losing possession in midfield the Otters moved the ball quickly and fired a shot which Dylan White admired all the way to the back of the net.

The young Tigers had the majority of play and started to create some chances, Owen Dibling crossing the ball in for Eli Baker-Pike only to be thwarted b a great save by the keeper. Josias Drew - also set up by Dibling - went close but again the keeper came out on top.

Twenty minutes gone and after some poor defending and an unstopable shot the Tigers were 2-0 down. It was then the Tigers got their heads up and started to press with Owen Dibling and Max Churchill creating more chances. It was Churchill that worked his own chance by robbing the defender and brilliantly finishing off from an acute angle.

Tigers started well in the second half and were rewarded with a great team goal finished by the in -form Josias Drew.

It looked like the Tigers were well on their way to scoring a third, but several chances to score went begging and it looked as though the game could end up 3-2 for either team. In the end it was a penalty awarded to the Otters that enabled them to take all three points.

All the lads played well with Zach Hurford outstanding in defence and excellent contributions from Eli Baker-Pike and Ollie Wren.

The Under14s next match is at home to Okehampton on October 17.
