Uplyme's T20 victory over Seaton

UPLYME & Lyme Regis continued their rich vein of form with a T20 victory over neighbouring Seaton at the King George V playing field.

Seaton won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 142 for 6 in their 20 overs.

Top scores came from Joel Seward (69 not out),Jack Dormor (36) and skipper Ben Morgan (26).

Ben Whittington was Uplyme's most successful bowler finishing with figures of 2-17 off just three overs.

In reply, Uplyme knocked off the required runs (143) for the loss of six wickets in 16 overs) with Bruce Maltby (45), Tyler Wellman (36) and Alfie Jacques (31) top scoring.

Joel Seward topped the Seaton bowling figures with 2 for 24 off three overs.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Uplyme and Lyme Regis are away to Honiton in the penultima Devon Mini-League division East E 3 (Tier 5) which they are leading and look certain to win a place in the knock-out rounds next month.
