FTER one of their most successful seasons last year in the Devon Cricket League, Uplyme and Lyme Regis are looking forward to their first season in Division C East, the highest level at which they have played.

Uplyme kick-off their 2022 campaign today (Saturday) against Heathcoat 2nd X1 at the George V playing field (start 1.30 pm).

Having come second in the D Division East to gain promotion last season, and reaching the final for the overall East champions and the East Devon Bash T20 League, sponsored jointly by LymeOnline and Nub News, Uplyme will relish the challenge of tougher competition.

The club has announced that they have secured the services of Abhishek Anand, a hard hitting right-handed batsmen who plays for Delhi State in India, as their overseas player.

They have also signed Martin Langford from Dorset Premier outfit Cattistcok and both will be playing alongside league debutant Nabi Temori.
