Somerset CCC team up with Mansfield Sports Group

Somerset County Cricket Club have announced a new partnership with Mansfield Sports Group.

The initial two-year agreement will see MSG become the Club's Official Equipment Partner.

Mansfield Sports Group provide a wide range of exclusive products that give coaches a complete sports equipment and apparel solution, empowering them to spend more time focusing on the players themselves.

Founded over a decade ago by Richard Mansfield, MSG are a cricket manufacturer who exclusively manage a number of brands including BAS, who supply bats, pads and gloves; Leverage, who make elite coaching aids and British Allround Sports, their home-grown Made In England brand that manufactures cricket balls for matches and training.

It's an Official Partnership that Head Coach, Jason Kerr is extremely enthusiastic about. "It's fantastic to be working with Mansfield Sports Group," he said. "We pride ourselves on challenging the development of our players, and we are very fortunate to have access to MSG's high-quality coaching aids which will support our training environment brilliantly."

SCCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert said: "In order for the Club to continue to consistently challenge for silverware on all fronts, it is important for the players to have access to the very best equipment and training aids. This partnership with MSG will ensure that this happens.

"MSG have an excellent reputation within the game and their ambassadors include Paul Collingwood, Mark Ramprakash, and Jofra Archer. This is a partnership that will be of genuine benefit to Jason Kerr and his team of coaches, and it's a relationship that we are really excited about."

The Club has such a rich tradition and history with the pedigree of players like Sir Viv Richards and Sir Ian Botham. They also have a world class age group talent pathway in place with has produced international players like Jack Leach, Tom Banton, Lewis Gregory and Craig Overton.
