Six teams to compete in East Devon bash cricket tournament

SIX teams will be competing in the East Devon Bash T-20 league which will start in May.

Launched last year, the 20-over pink ball tournament will be sponsored jointly by Nub News and LymeOnline.

The teams taking part will be Seaton Pirates (last year's winners), Sidbury Moles, Uplyme Muffin Men, Upottery Swingers, Honiton Hawks and Ottery Rising Super Beavers.

Warm up friendlies will be held on May. 12th with the tournament being decided over five weeks with the final to be held on August 7th at a venue to be decided.

Teams will consist of ten players who will compete in a 20 six-ball overs with power play in the first five overs where only two players are allowed outside the circle.

The final will be between the top two teams in the league.
