Seaton Pirates and the Uplyme Muffin Men met in the first final of the East Devon Bash T20 league two season ago with the Pirates coming out on top.

The two sides met again in week four of the competition and in a very competitive game the Pirates won by just two runs.

The Muffin Men batted first, setting a target of 120-7 with Andy Harrison (33) and Mark Batey (31) top scoring. Adam Bilston and Fin Copp both claimed two wickets apiece for the home team.

IN reply, Seaton got off to a good start with openers Adam Bilson (33) and Toby Tucker (27) setting the pace. Tim Doulton (13) was the only other batter to reach double figures but they finished with a score of 122, 18 of which came from byes. Star bowler for Uplyme was Steve Batey who claimed four victims.

Kilmington Kestrels, competing in the Bash for the first season, elected to bat at home to Sidbury Moles and set a target of 207, losing six wickets along the way.

Highlight of the Kilmington innings was a swashbuckling 68 from Brett Garner including six sixes. Matthew Rockett also weighed in with a useful 33. Damien Armes was the Moles' most dangerous bowler, taking 4 for 23 off four overs.

Sidbury made a brave attempt in reply, falling by just 34 runs thanks to a brilliant century from Oliver Paget.

Upottery Swingers lost just one wicket is totalling a winning 134 runs against Ottery Super Beavers who set a target of 133-8. T. Jeacock was top scorer with 45 and Handley added a useful 18 runs. Kidson (2-15) and Pulman (2-32) shared the Beavers bowling honours.

Pulman (44 not out) and Broom (44) saw the Swingers over the line with 134 runs, 32 of which came from extras.
