A DIVISION

Another indifferent batting display saw Seaton lose by eight wickets at home to leaders Bradninch and find themselves hovering above the relegation danger zone.

Having won the toss, Seaton decided to bat but could only manage a total of 103 with only four batsmen reaching double figures. Joel Seward was the top scorer on 23.

The division leaders knocked off the required runs in just 13 overs for the loss of two wickets, both taken by Seward.

Seaton 3 points, Bradninch 20 points.

B DIVISION

Kilmington 1st X1 slipped down to fifth place after losing by four wickets to Chudleigh.

Batting first, Kilmington ran up an all-out total of 216, thanks in no small measure to No 4 Billy Reed who hit a glorious 97 which included eight fours and eight sixes. Harry Johnson chipped in with a useful 42 and Matt Reed contributed 26.

In reply, Chudleigh took 42 overs to knock off the necessary runs with Derek Lammonby topping Kilmington's bowling stats with figures of 4 form 34 off nine overs.

Kilmington 8 points, Chudleigh 20 points.

D DIVISON EAST

Uplyme and Lyme Regis kept the pressure on two teams above them in the division with a comprehensive 10-wicket victory over Chardstock.

Another 20-point haul keeps Uplyme in third place but there is now only five points between them and the front runners – Alphington and Countess Wear and North Devon. Alphington lost their first game of the season to Sampford Peverell and Tiverton.

Chardstock won the toss and elected to bat. After losing opening Robbie Hutching with just two runs on the board, Gary Larcombe (31) and Alex Watson (36) steadied the ship. James Rockett also contributed a useful 30 but a blistering spell from Uplyme's Tyler Wellman, who took five wickets at a cost of 42 runs in eight overs, saw the visitors all out for 163.

Openers Mark Batey and Harvey Brimicombe played themselves in and gave a lesson in controlled batting, steering Uplyme to a victory score of 165 in 29 overs without conceding a wicket. Brimicombe scored 72 not out whilst Batey carried his bat for 69.

Uplyme and Lyme Regis 20 points, Chardstock 4 points.

E DIVISION EAST

Axminster Town 1st X1 put in a much better batting performance but were still beaten by five wickets by Ottery St Mary 2nd X1.

Having won the toss, Axminster decided to bat, setting a target of 231. Highlight of the innings was a fine knock of 85, including 14 fours, from the experienced Andrew Guppy and skipper Paul Miller weighed in with a useful 36. Further down the order, James Herbert wielded his bat for 46 which included five sixes off just 27 balls.

Ottery went about the chase n workmanlike fashion with all the top five batsman moving the score along. Highlight was Harsha Sinnappu Liyanage's knock of 60 off 57 balls.

Axminster 1st X1 7 points, Ottery St Mary 2nd X1 20 points.

F DIVISION EAST

Batting first at Sampford Peverell and Tiverton 2nd X1, Seaton were dismissed for 169 off 38 overs.

Top run-makers for Seaton were openers Oliver Aplin (41) and George Harwood (31) with a useful contribution of 27 coming from Bobby Dowell.

The home side knocked off the required runs for the loss of six wickets, with Devon Welsh and Toby Tucker each grabbing a couple of wickets

Samford Peverell and Tiverton 20 points, Seaton 2nd X1 7 points.

G DIVISION EAST

In a low scoring affair, Kilmington 2nd X1 were bowled out for 137 by division leaders Sidbury, who strengthened their position at the top of the table.

Top scorers for Kilmington were Hal Cook (38) and Ralph Cook (34).

Sidbury lost just two wickets in the match-winning score of 141.

Sidbury 20 points, Kilmington 2nd X1 4 points.

H DIVISION EAST

Axminster 2nd X1's away match with Chagford was conceded with Chagford earning 20 points and Axminster 10 points.
