Following Prime Minister Boris Johnson's announcement in the House of Commons this afternoon (Monday), non-essential shops, restaurants and pubs in Seaton are expected to reopen at the beginning of December, and will be keen to encourage customers back to the high street during what is normally one of the busiest periods of the year.

There will be no official gathering to see Seaton's Christmas lights switched on this year, but residents and businesses are still being asked to help make the town sparkle.

Shops, businesses and residents are being asked to all switch on their Christmas lights at 6pm on Friday, December 4 to bring some festive cheer to Seaton.
