Almost every care home resident in Devon is expected to have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by the middle of next week, as figures show 100,000 vaccines have been delivered in the county.

Across Devon, NHS figures show that as of January 17, 98,234 vaccinations had occurred, with that figure having risen further in the most recent days.

A £20,000 expansion to grow a community project that provides workshops and team activities, helping residents around Beer to improve their skills, finally has the funds it needs.

East Devon District Council (EDDC) contributed £6,500 towards a crowdfunding campaign, along with Devon County Council (DCC) which contributed £1,000, to help Beer Men's Shed to reach its target and pay for a new bigger building.

Last year saw the largest number of alleged UFO or alien sightings reported to Devon and Cornwall Police in the last six years, including one in Seaton, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.

The police were asked how many 999 or 101 calls the force has received in relation to alleged UFO or alien sightings from 2017 onwards, although a previous FOI also included figures from 2015 and 2016.
