Children from Colyton Caterpillars Pre-School celebrated World Book day yesterday.

World Book Day is an international events with the aim of promoting reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own.

Thirty worthy projects have so far been funded by East Devon District Council's Coronavirus Community Food Fund, giving out a total of over £45,000.

This fund provides grants for any projects related to providing food to residents of East Devon who are in food poverty during the coronavirus situation.

Colyton fire crew were called to assist coastguards with the rescue of a child stuck in mud up to his waist in Charmouth on Friday.

Lyme Regis Coastguards were called to the scene at 3.28pm on Friday and carried the mud rescue equipment along the beach to the boy's location.
