Here's your Nub News weekly round-up of what's on in the Seaton area this weekend...

Friday: Summer Solstice Party
Eveyone is welcome to come and join Colyton Primary School and Colyton Caterpillars pre-school for their Summer Solstice Picnic at the Reece Strawbridge playing fields in Colyton. Bar, music and barbecue from 4pm or bring a picnic if you prefer. There will also be face painting, circus skills and stalls, and entry is free!
Friday: The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry
Starring Academy Award Winner Jim Broadbent as Harold and Penelope Wilton as his wife Maureen, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry tells the story of a man who leaves his seaside town in South Devon to deliver a message to an old friend.
This will be screened at The Gateway Theatre in Seaton at one of its popular picnic film nights on Friday, June 23.
Saturday: Armed Forces Day
Armed Forces Day will be marked with a programme of events centered around Axminster railway station on Saturday, June 24.
Events will start with a service of worship outside the station from 2pm, paying tribute to all those who serve in our Armed Forces and all those lost in conflict. There will also be a talk on The Taunton Stop Line Way by Andrew Powell Thomas, a military history and memorabilia display, live music from The Plum Jam Band and others, a number of stalls, cider and beer from The Aleway and a barbecue by The Railway Kitchen.
Saturday: Jazz Supper with Tara Minton
Join Jazz Jurassica for a captivating night out of music and food with hip harpist, Tara Minton and her quintet at The Gateway Theatre in Seaton on Saturday, June 24.
Singer and harpist Tara aims to drag the harp out from the orchestra pit and show us what it's capable of. This will be an uptempo evening of swinging jazz tunes from some of the finest musicians on today's jazz scene. This will be the third jazz supper at The Gateway promoted by Jazz Jurassica, with delicious food from the well regarded Le Pisani restaurant in Seaton.
