Margaret Mawer, formerly of Colyton, died on December 10 aged 97 bar two days. Married to the late Eric Mawer, she was a member of Colyton Theatre Group and other local organisations, had a long and successful career in the field of children's mental health support and was an advocate of women's rights and democratic socialism-Guardian reader until the end.

Funeral to be held at St Andrew's Church, Market Place, Colyton, EX24 6JS, on January 12 at 11.30am. PHILLIPS, MARGARET
