Skateparks and multi-use games areas across East Devon have now closed for the during of the second national lockdown.
While these facilities were initially set to remain open, general guidelines from the government and more detailed guidance from Sport England has resulted in a decision to close them until December 3.
This includes the skatepark at The Underfleet in Seaton, as well as in Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Honiton.
Multi-use games areas that are now closed include Foxhill in Axminster; St Mark's, Davey Playing Field and All Hallows in Honiton; Winter's Lane and Thorne Farm Way in Ottery St Mary; Greenway Lane in Budliehg Salterton and five areas in Exmouth.
Cllr Geoff Jung, Coast, Countryside and Environment portfolio holder for the district council, said: "I appreciate that users of our skateparks and multi-use game areas will be disappointed, but the safety of our residents is paramount.
"We, as a council, are working very hard to ensure that their health and wellbeing is protected from any identified risks from coronavirus.
"We have endeavoured to follow the government guidance as closely as possible and will continue to do so as further information is received."
