Nub News editor Francesca Evans will be continuing her fortnightly 'meet up' sessions at Axminster Community Waffle House this year.

Francesca started the fortnightly sessions last year, as an easy way to meet more people from East Devon following the national lockdowns and help them share their news stories and events with Nub News.

With the Axminster and Seaton Nub News websites having launched in May 2020, amid the height of the pandemic, the Nub News team were keen to have more of a visible presence in East Devon and meet readers face-to-face as restrictions eased.

Francesca will be continuing the 'meet up' sessions this year, with residents or representatives of local organisations, businesses and charities able to pop into the Community Waffle House every other Thursday afternoon from 1pm to 5pm.

Tell Francesca about your organisation or charity, your local news stories or upcoming events and she can help you with publicity on the Nub News website.

You can also pop in to learn more about Nub News and how to use the website.

The first 'meet up' session of the year will be held today (Thursday, January 13), from 1pm to 5pm in the 'Waffle Work' area of the Community Waffle House – just pop in, there is no need to make an appointment.

Dates for the next three months will be as follows (please note there will be no session on January 27):

February 10

February 24

March 10

March 24

April 7

April 21 Francesca is also hoping to launch similar sessions in Seaton and is currently looking for a suitable venue. Alternatively, you can call her on 07180 221 420 or email [email protected] —————————————————————— You can submit your own news straight to Seaton News by using the 'Nub It' button on our homepage.
