Seaton seafront has been left covered in debris and pebbles this morning after last night's stormy weather.

A high tide and persistent heavy rain saw the Esplanade flooded last night, with waves crashing over the flood defences.

Cars which were parked on the road were said to be "floating" and have been moved slightly by the water.

The road this morning is covered in pebbles from the beach and debris with some damage caused, particularly to flowers beds along the seafront.
