Police, helicopter and lifeboat called to Seaton beach amid concerns for person's welfare

Police officers, a helicopter and lifeboat crew were deployed to the scene on Seaton beach

Officers and the National Police Air Service helicopter were deployed to Seaton seafront on Tuesday evening, following a report which raised significant concerns for a member of the public.

Lyme Regis lifeboat crew were also sent to the scene.

The individual was located safely by the overhead helicopter and officers arrived on scene shortly after. The lifeboat was subsequently stood down.

The individual was conveyed to hospital by the attending officers.

No further details regarding the nature of the incident have been released.
