Seaton's stalwart RNLI fundraiser Wendy Cummins will be walking in her yellow wellies everyday this month as part of the life-saving charity's Mayday Mile campaign.

Wendy will be walking everyday throughout May, with the aim of completing 44 miles as it is the 44th anniversary her taking part in a sponsored walk with her late husband Nigel.

She will complete the challenge on May 30 with a walk from Fisherman's Gap on Seaton seafront and along the East Walk, returning and then along the West Walk and returning, with her RNLI collection bucket and wearing her yellow RNLI welly boots.

Others are also being encouraged to join in, walking individually, or socially distanced or in maximum number of groups of six or less, or in a support bubble, or you can complete your own challenge for the RNLI's Mayday Mile campaign.

For further details are available at themaydaymile.rnli.org or to obtain sponsorship forms, email [email protected].

You can also send donations to the Seaton & Beer branch of the RNLI to 3 Belmont Terrace, Causeway, Beer, Devon EX12 3LE, or via the branch's JustGiving page.
