Street parties and a sail past rounded off a successful weekend of celebrations in the Seaton area, making the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Events got underway on Thursday with Seaton Town Council's Summer Celebration, which was attended by hundreds in Cliff Field Gardens.

Other events included a flower festival, concert and coronation tea at St Gregory's Church, and live screenings of the jubilee celebrations in London at The Gateway Theatre.

There was a jubilee theme table top sale with local good causes raising funds on Saturday, and Seaton Carnival held a street fair on the Esplanade on Sunday.

Colyton hosted a paper boat race for children, a street party and a party in the park on Saturday night with the lighting of a beacon.

Beer and Colyford also held street parties, with the latter also hosting a big breakfast event.

Celebrations in Seaton were rounded off with an impressive sail past organised by Axe Yacht Club on Sunday morning, with a large number of decorated craft sailing close to shore along the Esplanade.
