A prime redevelopment site at the former Hook and Parrot pub in Seaton will be sold at auction next month, for a guide price of £1million.

The dilapidated pub on The Esplanade has stood empty and derelict for several years, but planning permission was granted in early 2022 to demolish the building and replace it with a new bar and restaurant with nine apartments above and underground parking.

The site was then put tip for sale in July 2022 for £1.4million.

It will now be sold via online auction run by Clive Emson Land and Property Actioneers for a guide price of £1million-plus on February 8.

The former pub and three residential apartments above are now offered as a prime redevelopment site with works already begun. The existing building has been partially demolished internally and works are currently underway.
