Colyton to host Halloween Pumpkin Trail

With regular trick or treating off the cards this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, Colyton residents are still planning some safe Halloween festivities to keep the children entertained.

The town will be hosting a Pumpkin Trail on Halloween (Saturday, October 31) with residents encouraged to decorate their houses for local youngsters to enjoy.

The Pumpkin Trail will follow a similar style of Colyton Primary School's recent Safari Trail, in which residents created animals and displayed them in their gardens or windows for children to spot.

Residents are asked to decorate their houses during half term in time for Halloween, and families are encouraged to dress up in costume on October 31 and enjoy a 'spooktacular' walk around the town while keeping to social distancing rules.

Those taking part are asked to put their names down in the Heart of Colyton Facebook group, so a map of decorated houses can be produced in advance.
