A Seaton care home is appealing to the local community to help make the 106th birthday of one of its residents extra special.

Jenny Higgins, a resident of Netherhayes Care Home in Seaton, will be turning 106 in July.

Staff at the care home want to make the occasion extra special and are asking the local community to help by sending Jenny a birthday card.

A post on the home's social media said: "We want to make this birthday as special and as big as we can for Jenny. We are kindly asking our lovely Facebook followers and beyond to send Jenny a birthday card to make this amazing milestone day just as special as she is!"

Those who would like to send Jenny a card can either post it through the door of the care home, or post it to Netherhayes Care Home, 13 Fore Street, Seaton, Devon EX12 2LE.
