Beer Parish Council are calling on residents to volunteer to help keep East Devon's most popular village tidy and "up to scratch".
The parish council is setting up a register of people who are willing to help with such jobs as sweeping up leaves and debris on the Jubilee and rubbish on the beach.
Other duties could include cleaning the shelters windows, clearing the brook in the autumn or any jobs that will make a difference to the overall look of the village.
In an appeal on its website, the council asks: "We all love our village, our little bit of heaven. Can you spare an hour of two occasionally to help keep our village up to scratch?"
Volunteers are able to download a registration from the council website, send a message via their Facebook, collect a form from The Village Store or telephone councillors Mandy Graham (01297 20369) of Maureen Westlake (01297 23850).
The council will then contact volunteers when there are jobs to be carried out, giving details of the time and place to meet and what tools to bring.
