Beer Men's Shed will be holding an opening ceremony for its new, larger workshop following a successful fundraising campaign.

The new workshop has been built in the churchyard to the right of St Michael's Churchyard in Fore Street, Beer, and it is hoped this will attract moire men to join for weekly workshop sessions, learning new, practical skills while also socialising with others with similar interests.

As a thank you for the generous donations, assistance and support in completing this project, all are welcome to the opening ceremony on Friday, September 16 at 2pm.

Chris Pickles of Beer Men's Shed said: "This will be an opportunity for everyone to come along and see how donations have been put to good use. We also hope that it will encourage everyone to tell all the men who they know that they should come along and join the shed too."

Workshop sessions are held each week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2pm to 5pm, and on Monday evenings from 7pm to 9pm.
