The village of Beer will get into the Christmas spirit with its Festive Fun Weekend from Friday, December 10 to Sunday 12.

The weekend will get underway with late night shopping in the village from 3pm to 8pm on Friday evening.

There will also be a craft fair in St Michael's Church, with mulled wine, mince pies and a raffle.

Father Christmas will be visiting the fair from 4pm to 6pm to meet local children, followed by the switch-on of the Christmas tree lights at 5.30pm, accompanied by Gayle Chapple and Choir.

There will then be a children's disco in the Mariners Hall, supported by Beer Parish Council's Community and Tourism Team.

The disco will include a tuck shop inside, food served outside by Beer Scouts and a bar for parents.

Events will continued throughout the weekend with the Festive Friends Window Spot on Saturday, December 11, organised by Beer Primary School, as well as hot drinks and treats in the Mariners Hall.

On Sunday, December 12 there will be a Carols by Candlelight Service at Jubilee Gardens.
