Tony Pinder, one of Axminster Town's most prolific strikers in recent times, is returning to Tiger Way.

Manager Josh Stunnell has confirmed that Pinder, who in his last season with the Tigers scored 31 goals, had returned to the club and will be in the squad for Axminster's home match against Newton Abbot Spurs tomorrow (Wednesday), a fixture sponsored by Nub News Sport.

Ladies doubles finalists at the Seaton Tennis Club tournament

Seaton Tennis Club had a new winner in its annual tournament this year as Iain Horlock held off a fierce comeback from Kevin Davis to win a pulsating Men's Singles Final on Sunday, September 27th.

Despite joining the club just six months earlier after a 10-year break from tennis, Iain had stormed through the early rounds, combining phenomenal reach with an ice-cool temperament.

THE ladies of Lyme Regis Golf Club played their 36-hole championships in a day with five prizes up for grabs, and although two names shone out the overall performances were a good reflection of the strength of the ladies section.

The strokeplay championship was won by scratch golfer Melissa McMahon who laid a solid, brilliant foundation by scoring one under par on the first 18, which included two consecutive birdies on two par 5s.

After a long lay-off Seaton Town 1sts finally kicked off the eagerly awaited new season - with new management duo James Carmichael and Barry Seymour and a very strong squad - made the difficult trip to Chard Town Reserves in the Devon & Exeter Premier East Division on Wednesday night.

Always a difficult place to go, the infamous Chard slope added to the difficulties the team would face.
