After last week's debacle this was a well earned result especially with several players missing, including Sam Dibling, against the Devon and Exeter Division Two East high-riders.Lyme Regis Reserves came through a tough test against Devon and Exeter Division One East competitors Lympstone but they came through with flying colours and a 2-0 victory.
Lympstone don't play football like a team sat rock-bottom of the league, and the Lyme players had to work incredibly hard and pull together to resist the pressure the visitors managed to create from the kick-off.

LYME Regis 1sts rotated their squad from the last clash against Devon & Exeter Premier East division leaders Feniton which, ended in 2-2 draw, with Joe bond, Dan Rendall, Kingsley Wellman and Mark Bailey dropping to the bench.
In came Brad Rowe, fit again, Ben Vine, Tom Bastin and Rikki Sargent, a tactic which seemed to pay immediate dividends as Lyme dominated the early exchanges, testing the Feniton goalkeeper early on.

Axminster Reserves continued their high-scoring form with a 7-0 victory over Pinhoe 1st on Saturday following a 9-1 win over East Budleigh the previous week.

After a long layoff, the fitness and sharpness of players was an unknown, but a 3 – 1 win showed their form had continued from the cancelled season.

Axminster Town manager was a bit concerned when his Reserve side were given two games in three days after the long lockdown period.
But he believes it actually did them a favour. The Tigers second string struggled in their first game back in the Devon and Exeter League Division Two East with a 2-2 draw at neighbours Millwey Rise on Easter Saturday.
