UPLYME 1sts faced two games in four days with contrasting fortunes.
A near-full strength squad travelled to local neighbours Seaton 2nds and dominated from the first minute. Cody Bowditch shone with a hat-trick, including a great dink over the keeper after a super ball through from Daley Holmes.

Millwey Rise Under 16s have new shirts to kick off the football season, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Axminster.
After the presentation at Cloakham Lawns on Saturday morning, President Jon Campbell-Harris said the Rotary Club wished to support local young people to develop both as individuals and team players.

By Dick SturchAxminster Reserves had a tough introduction to Devon and Exeter Premier division football, losing 3-1 on Wednesday evening to an impressive Beer Albion side who lost their first game of the season 1-0 to Kentisbeare.
The victory saw the Fishermen sharing the top spot on points but they have played one more game that the other front-runners.
UPLYME 1sts kicked off their first season in the Devon and Exeter League Division Six at home to a strong and quick Broadclyst side.
Uplyme started much stronger and in the first 15 minutes had a number of good chances to go ahead. However, it was Broadclyst, using the ball over the top to their powerful striker, who edged ahead.
After three successive wins on the trot, Axminster Town were unable to maintain their early season form, losing 2-0 to near rivals Honiton Town last evening.
The defeat sees the Tigers drop one place to fifth in the South West Peninsular Premier East Division, with nine points from four games, while the Hippos move up to eighth place.
Axminster Town's impressive start to the season continued this afternoon with a 2-0 home win over Torrington.
The third victory on the trot keeps them among four clubs vying for the top spot with nine points from three games in the South West Peninsular Premier East Division.
A rejuvenated Axminster Town started their 2021-22 season in emphatic form, slamming five goals past Newton Abbot Spurs on Saturday in their first match of the new campaign.
After struggling in the lower regions of the South West Peninsular Premier East Division in recent times, this was the performance that the Tigers' faithful following have been looking forward to for so long.

Axminster Town Reserves, promoted to the Devon and Exeter Premier Division, will kick-off their season under new manager Jamie Barfoot with a home fixture on Wednesday, August 25 (kick-off 7.30 pm) against Beer Albion, who are expected to be one of front-runners.
This will be followed by another home game on Saturday, August 28 (kick-off 3pm) against Ottery St Mary 2nds.
