Axminster Town suffered their second league defeat of the season on Wednesday of last week when they were beaten 2-0 at Cullompton, a side five places below the Tigers in the South West Peninsular Premier division.
They did much better, however, on Saturday when they drew 2-2 at home to Bovey Tracey, a match sponsored by AS Electronics who named Ryan Andrews as man-of-the-match for a superb midfield performance.
Following these two games, the Tigers find themselves in seventh place in the division with 18 points from ten games with fixtures in hand over several sides above them.
This coming Saturday, Axminster are away to Plymouth Marjon, who are just one place above them in the table, having played 13 games.
Next Wednesday Axminster play host to Sidmouth Town who have yet to win a league game this season and are sitting firmly at the foot of the table (kick-off 7.30 pm).
In the last 16 teams left in the Devon St Luke's Bowl, Axminster Town have been drawn away to Elburton. The game will be played on Tuesday or Wednesday, November 9th/10th.
*Axminster Reserves pulled off a brilliant 4-2 victory over Feniton in the Devon Senior Cup, their goals coming from Keiron Anthony, Sam Dibley, Jon Hurford and man-of-the-match Jamie Barfoot.
