Artwork installed to celebrate Seaton's famous Grizzly race have been removed from a wall on the Harbour Road roundabout due to deterioration.

The panels of artwork, installed on the roundabout outside the Marshlands, had deteriorated over recent years and have now been remove to also allow for maintenance to be carried out on the wall.

Beer Coastguards were called to three incidents in the Sidmouth and Exmouth areas over the weekend.

In the first incident on Saturday night, Beer Coastguards were called to assist their colleagues in Exmouth after a dog fell over the cliff at Orcombe Point.

Re:store Axe Valley, a community interest company (CIC), has been set up to continue what has been established by the Seaton Coronavirus Community Group.

A mystery hero has been praised for rescuing a young girl from strong currents at Axmouth harbour this afternoon (Tuesday).

Axmouth is infamous for its strong currents which can easily sweep swimmers out to sea.

In their latest call-out, the coastguards were tasked along with the ambulance service to a 71-year-old man with chest pains on the coast path just east of Weston Mouth at 12.57pm today (Tuesday).

Public toilets at Harbour Road/Thury Harcourt Place in Seaton will reopen from tomorrow (Wednesday).
