Young musicians to entertain in Seaton

Seaton Music is thrilled to welcome the young musical quintet Moriarty Winds to The Gateway Theatre at 7.30pm on Thursday, March 24.

They will play works by Couperin, Mozart, Villa-Lobos and Ravel.

Moriarty Winds are the Chamber Ensemble in residence at Dorset Opera, where they make up the principal players of the wind section and French horns.

Other recent highlights include performances at the Investec International Festival and Norfolk and Norwich Chamber Music Series.

All members of the ensemble are also currently pursuing careers in solo and ensemble performance, and have a combined orchestral experience playing with ensembles including the Hallé Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Philharmonic and many more.

Tickets are £16 (under 19s and full time students fo free) and can be purchased in advance online at www.seatonmusic.org or at the door on the night (cash or cheque only).
