Enjoy a picnic and a film

The Gateway Theatre in Seaton will be hosting one of its popular film picnic nights, screening Emily (15) - the imagined life of one of the world's most famous authors, Emily Brontë, starring Emma Mackey.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start, bring along your own picnic.

The Community Waffle House in Axminster hosts open mic nights on the second Friday of the month, with the next being this Friday, January 13.

Entertainment kicks off at 7.30pm and to guarantee a slot to perform, email [email protected]

Live music on Saturday night

Contemporary folk singer-songwriter Reg Meuross will perform at The Beehive in Honiton on Saturday, January 14 from 7.30pm.

Reg is touring with songs of history, protest, love, loss, and legend from 14 releases and some brand new songs. Tickets cost £14.
