Woozie's Deli in Beer recently had their RNLI collection box stolen.

As well as losing collected funds, the village shop was disappointed to have lost the vintage collection box itself, which saw a lifeboat rock on the waves when pennies were dropped inside.

But now a regular visitor to Beer has some to the rescue, generously offering and posting a similar box as a replacement.

Thomas has been visiting Beer for 10 years. He was introduced to the village by his dad, who wanted to retire to Beer but sadly passed away before he could do so.

Thomas, his brother, sister and family still visit regularly when they can.

The collection box was Thomas' mum's as she used to organise and participate in RNLI events where the family live, including the Morecombe Bay Cross Bay Walk.
