Two vacancies on Beer Parish Council

Local News by Philip Evans 25th Mar 2021

Beer Parish Council is currently two members short - but that could be resolved at their next meeting.

Applications from those interested in serving on the parish council have to be submitted by Thursday, April 1. The two vacancies will be filled by co-option at the annual parish meeting on Tuesday, April 6.

The current line-up of the parish council is: Geoff Pook (chairman), Louise Vine (vice-chairman), Jessica Bolton, Darren Clinch, Andy Cobbold, Wendy Dodd, Rick Dormor, Mandy Graham and Leona Reeve.

Cllr Pook also represents Beer on East Devon District Council.

The council usually meets on the first Thursday of each month (second Tuesday in July and January). The meetings take place in the Mariners Hall, starting at 7pm, but currently the council is meeting by video conferencing because of the COVID-19 restrictions.

At each meeting 15 minutes is set aside for public participation by parishioners.

Copies of all agendas and minutes of meetings are posted on the council's website - beerparishcouncil.org.uk
