Summer holiday club returns to Seaton Wetlands

By Francesca Evans 24th Jun 2021

Wild East Devon's adventurous summer holiday club is now open for bookings.

Based at Seaton Wetlands, the holiday club for 7 to 11 year olds runs for two separate weeks in August. Week one takes place from August 2 to 6 and week two takes place from August 16 to 20.

The holiday club costs £35 per day or if you book for a whole week, there's a 15 per cent discount.

Over the two weeks children can go mini-beast hunting, pond dipping and fishing in the stream. They will be challenged to follow maps, build mini rafts, light fires and build dens.

There will be different crafts to make each day, as well as games to play and snacks to cook over the campfire.

Cllr Geoff Jung, East Devon District Council's portfolio holder for Coast, Country and Environment, said: "If your children want to become the next world-renowned explorer and expert on wild animals and fauna, then you're in luck!

"Wild East Devon's adventurous summer holiday club is back this summer, so why not let your child get outdoors and go wild in our wonderful East Devon natural, wild areas.

"The action-packed activities are the perfect way to make sure your child enjoys an outdoor summer.

"The sessions are led by our experienced education ranger Penny and your child will learn about wetlands wildlife, make natural crafts, use tools, cook on campfires and play!"
