Mad Dog Mcrea are bringing their blend of folk, rock, pop, gypsy jazz and bluegrass to the Gateway Theatre in Seaton this Saturday (December 18) giving the audience the Christmas kick-start everyone needs right now.

With their unmistakeable and unique blend music, tales of gypsies, fairies and legless pirates along with stories of adventure, love and life, Mad Dog are going to capture everyone's imagination with their irresistible combination of great music and imaginative lyrics that will definitely take you away from the real world into somewhere much nicer.

With five albums under their belts, Mad Dog are not only a highly-acclaimed recording band but have played at just about every popular festival, including the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury.

They will be bringing their festival presence in all its outrageous glory as they fire up their famous purple bus and get ready to rock well into the night.

They are being supported by that band of brothers, blaggers and badgers, Skimmity Hitchers, who promise to get things off to a raucous start ensuring everyone has a reason to be cheerful.

But if all of that great music and dance has worn you out, then you need look no further than the Bolshoi Ballet who will be gracing the big Gateway screen on Sunday, December 19 with the ultimate Christmas ballet, 'The Nutcracker'.

This holiday classic, with the exceptional musical score by Tchaikovsky and choreography by Yuri Grigorovich, is brought to life by the famous Bolshoi and will have you dancing your way into the magic of Christmas Eve.

Doors open 2.30pm and tickets cost £13.50 in advance ir £15 on the door.

Then to round off the festive season, join the Gateway for a 'Frozen' sing-along on Monday, December 20.

This Disney family film follows Anna as she sets off on a journey to find her sister, Elsa, with the help of Kristoff, Sven and Olaf the snowman.

You can sing all of your favourite 'Frozen' songs and why not dress up as your favourite character, or for that matter, one of Santa's helpers?

Doors open at 2pm and tickets cost £7 for adults and £5 for children.

The Gateway Theatre is opening its doors to all on Tuesday, December 21 between 10am and 2pm. So if you're feeling exhausted from Christmas shopping, need to check your list twice or just need a moment to recalibrate away from the noise and rush of the season, drop in for a cuppa and a sit down.

It's to say thank you and a very Merry Christmas to one and all from everyone at the Gateway.
