The Pebble-Moon Holistic Wellbeing Centre, situated on the seafront at Seaton, has been given permission from East Devon District Council to reopen during lockdown for remedial therapeutic treatments and face-to-face counselling sessions.

This is a classic story of how a sole trader with a determination found a way to keep her business running during lockdown, having been forced to close for face-to-face appointments.

The centre is run by Katherine Bolton, who first became interested in a holistic approach to wellness after suffering from long-term personal illness. This led her to mindfulness meditation, and after experiencing the benefits for herself, she then qualified so she was able to offer it at her retreat.

During her illness, Katherine benefited from experimenting with many different therapies. The ones that worked for her, she has continued to study and qualify in, so that she can now offer these to her clients. 

This experience creates an empathy and understanding which is rare, and enables Katherine to offer her clients the best experience possible. Her motto is to turn "stress to serenity".

Katherine returned to Seaton after running a successful retreat in Brittany, France, and is now offering a full selection of various holistic therapies.

After being given authority to reopen for remedial therapeutic treatments and face-to-face consultations by EDDC, Katherine is making available a few emergency appointments each week.
