Seaton Tramway came out victorious when it took on members of Axe Valley Runners for the annual 'Race the Tram' challenge.

Runners took the tram from Seaton to Colyton and then set up several relay teams to attempt to beat the tram back to Seaton.

The runners had to stick to roads and paths while the tram travelled along its three-mile track, coming out the winner with its fastest driver said to be behind the wheel.

Seaton Tramway donates the ride to Colyton and, in return, Axe Valley Runners make a donation to Devon Air Ambulance on the tramway's behalf.
