The first steps towards creating an art trail in Seaton have been made.

Seaton Town Council is planning to create an art trail to showcase the work of local creatives.

The first steps in getting the idea off the ground have now been taken, with the installation of new art boards on the Harbour Road roundabout, outside Marshlands.

Phil Truckley of Seaton Town Council and Andrew Gwyn Davies, who has volunteered to manage the art trail, installed the new boards last week.

They replace old murals promoting Seaton's famous Grizzly Race, which had become damaged and worn.

A spokesman for the council said: "We hope everyone passing will enjoy the art boards at Marshlands."

Further details of the artists who have donated their work for the trail are expected to be released soon.
