SEATON: Motorcyclist dies after serious accident on A3052

Police have confirmed that a motorcyclist died following a serious accident on the A3052 between Seaton and Sidmouth last night (Tuesday).

Officers are appealing for witnesses after being called to the collision on Trow Hill, near Sidford, at about 8.35pm last night.

The fatal collision involved a black Aprilia motorbike and a Volkswagen Polo at around 8.35pm.

As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

A full forensic investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of this collision.

The road was reopened at about 5.45am today (Wednesday).

Police thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.
