Seaton residents to be consulted on site for outdoor gym equipment

Seaton Town Council has agreed in principle to fund the replacement of a gym at Seafield Gardens.

For technical reasons, the gym cannot be situated in the original location. The only suitable alternative site in Seafield Gardens is the area adjacent to the junction of Seafield Road and Castle Hill.

Concerns about the new location had been raised by a small number of residents so councillors agreed that the views of the community should be sought.

A statement on the council's website said: "It should be noted that no alternative site has been identified and it is highly likely that if the equipment is not sited in the location proposed, then the project may not proceed.

"The council therefore invites anyone who would like to express a view on the location to either comment on this post or send an email to [email protected] "

Any comments should be received by 5pm on October 21.
