Young pupils at Seaton Primary School were excited to open their new outdoor play area, which will help them develop a wide range of physical and cognitive skills.

The government's sports premium funding, support from the schools PTFA and other contributions have helped to transform the play area for the youngest students at the school into a bright, vibrant and interactive space.

The new play area includes bespoke flooring created by Rhino Play, complete with a bike track, alongside wooden play equipment with tunnel, and a creation station for messy play with water and mud.

The pupils at Seaton Primary helped contribute ideas to the design and there are plans to further enhance the area with a sensory garden, where the children will be able to grow their own herbs.

As well as being used by the reception class at Seaton Primary School, local nurseries and pre-schools can arrange visits with Seaton Primary keen to open up and work closer with the local community in future.

Students, staff and supporters were invited to an official opening ceremony of the new play area,. Guests were welcomed by headteacher Jenna McCaffery and the ribbon cut by town, district and county councillor Marcus Hartnell.

Seaton Primary School is currently accepting new students for the coming 2023/24 school year and is happy to arrange tours. For more information or to get in touch, visit https://seatonprimary.org.uk/
