Seaton Music looking ahead to 72nd season of classical concerts

Seaton Music is a charity founded in 1951 to bring the very best classical music to Seaton.
You don't have to travel to the big cities to experience world-class music – it's on your doorstep at The Gateway Theatre in Fore Street.
The 72nd Seaton Music season gets under way on October 20, opening with two superb young musicians – rising star cellist Leo Popplewell with 2020 Musicians' Company prizewinning pianist Antonina Suhanova.
The November 17 concert presents a new ensemble of world-class musicians Metamorphoses, which is made up of Jean Johnson (clarinet), Roeland Jagers (viola) and Ilona Timchenko (piano).
December 8 will see the return to East Devon of prize-winning young violinist Joel Munday with young Polish pianist Lucas Kupsrinski.
The concerts take a break in January but the first concrt of 2023 on February 9 presents one of the world's greatest string quartets - the Doric.
March 23 sees a visit by outstanding young pianists Geoffrey Baptiste and André Roe - together as Duo B!z'art who have been wowing audiences across Europe.
The season comes to a resounding close on April 20 with renowned pianist and prolific recording artist Martin Jones.
Tickets for individual concerts are £17 and can be bought online at www.seatonmusic.org or by cash or card on the night, but you can save money by joining Seaton Music for only £90, which includes admission to all six concerts.
If you are under 19 or a full-time student, admission is free.
