Seaton fire crew are celebrating some positive news during this challenging festive period.

On Tuesday, December 8 Seaton's fire first responders were sent to reports of a woman who had suddenly gone into labour at home.

On arrival at the home address the crew found that baby Harry could wait no longer and had been delivered by mum and dad within minutes of the 999 call.

The crew carried out observations on both baby and mum and ensured both were comfortable and warm in preparation for the arrival of the ambulance.

Once the ambulance had arrived, the crew handed the incident over to them and wished mum and dad all the best with their new son.

A spokesperson for Seaton fire crew said: "After a having a few incidents recently with sad outcomes, this incident was a lovely reminder of why we all do the job we do.

"So from all of us at Station 42 we would like to wish the Walker family a very happy Christmas."
