Seaton Eats Boutique returns to Jubilee Gardens this summer, offering the community street food, sundowners and a great reason to get together

The ever popular street food market kicks off on the first Friday of May, which also happens to be the start of the coronation weekend.

What better way to celebrate the beginning of a bank holiday break than with delicious global flavours, a new cocktail menu, and fantastic views of the sea?

Seaton Eats Boutique has now been in town for eight years – except during the pandemic in 2020 – and in that time has become a firm fixture in the community calendar as an intimate, bustling, joyous event celebrating food, friendship and our most wonderful landscape.

It has become a destination event for the town and has attracted a growing visitor footfall year on year.

The future of the event was in jeopardy after a steep rise in charges by east Devon District Council, but thanks to an invitation from the recently-reformed Seaton Chamber, Seaton Eats can continue to operate.

This also means that income from the event will be donated to Seaton Chamber and stay within the community of Seaton.

Seaton Chamber wishes to support local business and community to realise the potential of the town through a range of projects.

"What better way to nourish friendships than to join the community dining table and take a culinary trip around the world?" said organiser Eleanor Carr.

"In the current financial climate we're so pleased to be able to continue our Eats Boutique events."

Seaton Eats Boutique will be held in Jubilee Gardens (What3words location: shack.broth.curiosity) on the first Friday of the month during spring and summer – May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4 and September 1, from 4pm to 9pm or until the food runs out.
