Continuing celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of East Devon's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Manor Mill Farm in Branscombe will host a stream dipping event on Saturday, August 12.

This free, family event will be held from 2pm to 4pm. Come and help at the 'Big Dip' for minibeasts, searching for dragonfly larvae, busy beetles, and other water loving minibeasts.

This event will help to see how clean the stream is by the variety of animals that might be living there.

Dipping nets and inspection trays will be provided but bring your wellies.

The event is being organised and and led by Ruth Worsley, East Devon AONB's wildlife engagement officer, and Nicola Westlake, a farmer at Manor Mill Farm. Thank you to the Westlake Family for allowing access to this special site.

Entry is free but booking is advisable – visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wild-about-streams-family-stream-dipping-branscombe-tickets-668096323087, email [email protected] or contact Ruth Worsley on 01297 489741.
