The Seaton, Beer & District branch of the RNLI will once again be backing the life-saving charity's Mayday Appeal, this year with the support of Seaton parkrun.

Branch secretary Wendy Cummins and her RNLI teddy will be taking part in the parkrun on Seaton seafront on Saturday, May 21. She will be joined by other RNLI volunteers, some of whom will also be carrying out their own walks throughout the day to rack up their 'Mayday Miles'.

Street collectors will also be collecting for the RNLI on the day.

Seaton parkrun registration is at 8.45am and starts at 9am and others are welcome to take part and help raise funds for the RNLI with sponsorship forms available by emailing [email protected]

The RNLI branch is also running a poster competition to colour in a wellington boot this week. Colouring sheets can be obtained by emailing the address above.

The competition is open to all ages and people can also design their own wellington boot. Entries can be in crayon, paint or collage and judging will he held at Pebbles Coffee House at 1.30pm on Saturday.
