Police are appealing for information after two police officers were assaulted on Seaton seafront.

At around 7.20pm on Friday, May 8 a group of men became verbally and physically abusive to officers, with one of the men grabbing an officer's body armour and trying to drag him backwards. Another was also assaulted.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

In particular, they would like to speak to the man pictured because it is believed he may have vital information that could assist their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information which could assist police in the investigation, is asked to contact police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting crime reference CR/036931/20.
