Latest figures show 47 crimes in Seaton area in December

The latest crime figures released by police show there were 47 crimes in the wider Seaton area during December 2020. 

These figures compare to 45 crimes the previous month and 33 in December 2019.

From the 47 recorded incidents in December 2020, 32 took place in Seaton Town and 15 in Seaton Rural, which also covers Beer, Branscombe, Colyton, Colyford, Axmouth, Rousdon and surrounding areas.

In Seaton Town, these included 10 drug-related incidents, seven incidents of anti-social behaviour, seven of violence and sexual offences, and eight listed as 'other crimes'.

In Seaton Rural, crimes included four of anti-social behaviour, three drug-related incidents, three of violence and sexual offences, and five listed as 'other crimes'.

Of these, seven took place in the Colyton area, five in Beer, one near Branscombe and two near Farway.

Crime figures for January 2020 have not yet been released.
