Latest figures show 33 crimes in Seaton area in January

The latest crime figures released by police show there were 33 crimes in the wider Seaton area during January 2021.

These figures compare to 47 crimes the previous month and 29 in the same month the previous year.

From the 33 recorded incidents in January 2021, 23 took place in Seaton Town and 10 in Seaton Rural, which also covers Beer, Branscombe, Colyton, Colyford, Axmouth, Rousdon and surrounding areas.

In Seaton Town, these included eight incidents of anti-social behaviour, five of violence and sexual offences, three of criminal damage and arson, and five listed as 'other crimes'.

In Seaton Rural, crimes included four incidents of violence and sexual offences, two burglaries, one incident of anti-social behaviour, and three 'other crimes'.

Of these, three took place in Colyton, two in Axmouth, two in Beer, one in Colyford, one in Weston, and one near Umborne.

Crime figures for February 2021 have not yet been released.
